Discipleship Hour
Prayer for Everyone: Going Further

Our Sunday morning discipleship study on prayer has covered ever-widening circles as we’ve moved from personal prayer to praying for our families, our households, and this week, praying for those outside the walls of our church.

Throughout the Lenten season, we will continue this focus on establishing a more purposeful, interactive dialog with the Lord.  We will build on these principles and challenge ourselves to put what we’ve learned into action, asking the question, “How do I discern and follow Jesus regarding these areas?”

Please join us as we walk further into this study. Regardless of how many prior classes you’ve been able to attend, don’t hesitate to step in—it’s never too late to start.

Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!  — Psalm 141:2

SERVE

CareNet Baby Bottles
Every year, All Saints’ parishioners are given the opportunity to support CareNet by taking one of the baby bottles that will be provided Feb. 11 (Sanctity of Life Sunday) and putting it in a prominent place in your house so that you can 1) be reminded to pray for the CareNet Pregnancy Resource Centers Ministry, 2) raise awareness with visitors about CareNet’s ministry, 3) add your spare change or cash/check to the bottle to support CareNet’s ministry. Return the bottle and drop it in the CareNet basket in the atrium on March 11, or bring it to the main office any time throughout the year. For more information, contact Cheryl Bull at cbull@comcast.net.  Visit www.care-net.org to learn more.

Looking to "Plug in"? Extra Hands are Always Appreciated
Please consider giving an hour or so of your time weekly or monthly to All Saints' Church by serving in one of the many volunteer opportunities. There's a spot for you wherever you would feel most comfortable serving--in the kitchen, in the nursery, in the office, helping to set up the altar, helping during the service as a reader, usher, chalice bearer or working in the audio-visual booth. If you are being called to serve, please contact the office at 703-670-0093 or via email to office@allsaintswoodbridge.org. Training will be provided if needed on an individual basis.

To add your event to the calendar, e-newsletter and Sunday morning’s bulletin, email announcements@allsaintswoodbridge.org. Announcements and additions to the "Prayers of the People," must be submitted by Mondays, 12 noon. All Saints' Church
