Prayer for All Saints' Church
Every other week, post a new prayer for our church. Please add these to your prayer routine throughout the week. This prayer can also be found in the Prayers of the People section of the weekly bulletin:

We give thanks and praise for God’s loving provision through Easter, and for a season of new beginnings this spring, for each of us, for All Saints’ Church, and for those who do not yet know Him.

Upcoming Events

But First, a Word From Your Bookkeeper
By now everyone should have received an electronic copy of their first-quarter giving statement. Statements have also been sent to those who do not have computer access. If you haven't received this statement, please contact Lori Sandoval as soon as possible to ensure she has your latest contact information.

Name Tag Sunday!
Let's make it easy for Rev. Scott and his family to learn our names. Please remember to wear your name tags for the Installation service May 4, and hang on to it for the following day. This will also help newcomers (and us old folk who just cain't remember) to match names with faces as we get to know each other as well. Anyone who would like a name tag made can leave their request at the newcomer kiosk in the Atrium and we'll try to get it to you before the Big Day!

The Kids Want Your Stuff!
Once again we are asking for your good “junk.” Look around your homes for items in good condition but no longer of use to you, and consider donating them to help our youth raise funds for their summer missions. We do accept children’s clothing but NOT adult clothing. Nor can we accept large appliances or non-flat-screen TVs.  Drop off donations at the church Atrium any time after 9 a.m. Thursday, May 9.  To arrange for someone to pick up large or heavy items, please contact Mario at  The yard sale will be Saturday, May 11 in the Atrium. Invite everyone to come and shop! Come to the Early Bird, treasure hunt special on May 10. For teens going on the mission trip helping is mandatory. For those teens not going on the mission trip, we could still really use your help!

Old Retired Guys
An opportunity for retired men to get together for breakfast and fellowship. We will meet at Bob Evan's on Smoketown & Gideon on May 21 at 8:15 a.m. in the back of the restaurant. Ukraine Harvest Mission Spaghetti Dinner
The Moas family adopted their daughter from Ukraine in 2016. The following year they returned to their daughter’s village to help conduct a summer CVBS camp for around 40 orphanage and village children. Last year, they led a mission team which expanded the CVBS camp to more than 120 children and assisted with construction work at the local village church. This year, the Ukraine Harvest mission team is planning to conduct two different camps: a CVBS camp for children ages 3–11 and a sports camp for teens. We hope this will reach even more children with the hope we have in Jesus. To make all this happen we need help raising money to buy the supplies for the camps and help the orphanage and church in the village. Please consider coming Friday, May 10th, 5:30–7:30 pm. in the ASC multi-purpose room to hear more about the mission and how God is alive and moving in Ukraine!
While there, enjoy a spaghetti dinner served by our team—no reservations needed. We offer good food and fun. All donations received will go towards the CVBS camps, church service projects, and orphanage.  Please visit to make a tax-deductible donation.
Women's Ministry
All Saints’ women are invited to join the Women’s Ministry Team in the Prayer Center at 5:30-6:30 p.m., on the first Monday of every month. We will be praying for our discernment of God’s plan for the future of the Women’s Ministry. Please join us in prayer, either at the Ministry Center or at home. Contact Julie Tilton at 703 730-5894 if you have any questions or hear from our Lord regarding Women’s Ministry.

National Day of Prayer May 2 prayer breakfast will be held on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 2, at 7:15 a.m. at Hylton Memorial Chapel. We have purchased tickets, a table of 10, for the Prince William Ministerial Association National Day of Prayer. This is an annual event sponsored by the PWMA and is an important way in which we can fulfill our vision to partner in unity with other churches to lift up Jesus. Tickets are $15; make checks payable to ASC, note National Day of Prayer in the memo line. Pick up your ticket in the church office.

New Sunday Morning Small Group
John, “the beloved disciple,” tells us of Jesus, “which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have looked upon and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life.” Using a Life Change Bible Study guide to John’s first letter to the Church, let’s learn together John’s unique perspective of Jesus, his example of God’s love, and grow in our love for our Savior. Study guide $12; bring your Bible. This group meets Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:40 a.m. in the Bishop’s Conference Room,  April 28-June 9.

The Ministry & Teaching of Jesus
“The Ministry and Teaching of Jesus: Studies in the Gospel of Luke” examines the earthly ministry of Jesus beginning with the calling of the first disciples. Each teaching will examine Jesus’ ministry from Luke’s unique point of view. How did Jesus teach? How did He heal then and now? How did He prepare his disciples and how does He prepare us for mission in the world? Bring your Bible and a heart to look deeper at Jesus’ ways. This group meets Sundays mornings from 9:40-10:40 in the Sanctuary.

Fingerprints of God Bible Study
God desires a personal relationship with each of us, one that warms our hearts, values and affirms us, and guides us as we journey through life with Him. This study will help us recognize six ways to experience God’s touch:  “honor, intimacy, shelter, guidance, redemption, and refinement.” Come study with us Tuesdays through June 11 at 10 a.m.  in the multipurpose room as Jennifer Rothschild leads us on a journey to discover God’s fingerprints on our lives. Contact for more information.

Learn About Global Teams Missions
All men and women are invited May 7 to come listen to special guest speakers, Sheryl Shaw, the North American Director of Global Teams, and Yvonne North, a Global Teams missionary from Immanuel. Sheryl and Yvonne will share about this international mission that extends to unreached people groups around the world. You may not be called to the international mission field, but God asks each of us to reach out to someone who has never heard the Good News about Jesus. Come and be encouraged by the ways God is transforming lives for His glory. A love offering will be taken for this ministry. We will meet in All Saints' lmultipurpose room from 10 a.m.—noon.  Contact Chloellen@ for more information.

Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study: Acts
Each Saturday at 8 a.m., ASC hosts a Men’s Bible Study in the Church Sanctuary. These studies take the group on a book-by-book, in-depth discussion on God’s word with emphasis being placed on the modeled male leadership within the Body of Christ. We are currently in the Book of Acts. The class is led by a cadre of teachers from our Parish men’s ministry team. For questions or additional information, please contact any member of the men’s ministry leadership team, or Deacon Andy Terry.

Exciting Happenings in
Sunday School and Children's Church

Dear All Saints’ Parents of Elementary Aged Children: I am delighted to share with you the exciting direction we are taking in Sunday School and Children’s Church each week through Memorial Day weekend. For training purposes, we need to film the LIVE teaching of our Bible Study lessons, crafts and games for Community Vacation Bible School to place on our website. To facilitate that, we will set up a mock CVBS site in the children’s wing complete with a pop up canopy, and other In the Wild CVBS decor.  We will combine our classes, ask the kids to wear a provided CVBS t-shirt over their clothing, and test out our lessons, games and crafts!   Our worship videos have already been filmed so we won’t include those on Sundays.
For the Sunday School hour, your child will be checked in at their classroom at 9:45 each week, and we will ask you to sign a form allowing them to participate in the filming for that day.
For those who participate only in Children’s Church, we will need to receive your permission to include them in the filming of the craft or game for that day so please accompany your child to the children’s wing as they are dismissed following the Gospel.
Our CVBS Leadership Team and our Sunday School teachers are excited about this fun opportunity to work together in such a powerful and fun way with your children!
Grateful for your partnership,

CVBS: How Shall I Serve? I SERVE GOD by providing a Host Home?
Host Homes provide a space outside for children and leaders to gather for CVBS for two hours each day.  That space could be a front, side, or back yard, or a deck, carport or driveway area.  Host homes are given all necessary decorations, yard signs, invitations, registration forms, snacks, training and support to welcome children and their families to VBS.
Will I SERVE GOD as a Host Home Assistant?
(Open to High School Age & Older): Host Home Assistants are assigned to one host home for the entire week. They help welcome children and their families and provide an extra set of hands and feet for this important work. If the host home family has children too young for CVBS, they may be asked to provide childcare support.
Will I SERVE GOD as a Bible Study Leader?
(Open to High School Age & Older): Bible Study Leaders are assigned to one host home for the entire week. They have the Spiritual Authority for the Bible Study site that they are assigned to. They provide the Biblical teaching each day and have the most direct contact with the children; they present God’s Plan of Salvation!
Will I SERVE GOD as a Craft Team Member?
(Open to Rising 6th graders & Older): Craft Team members travel to three different host homes during their two hour shift and help children create prepared crafts which underscore the Bible lesson for the day.
Will I SERVE GOD as a Worship Team Member?
(Open to Rising 6th graders & Older): Worship Team members travel to three different host homes during their two-hour shift and teach children at each site CVBS songs, hand motions and how to worship Jesus.
Will I SERVE GOD as a Recreation Team Member?
(Open to Rising 6th graders & Older): Recreation Team members travel to three different host homes during their two-hour shifts and play games with children at each site which underscore the Bible lesson for the day.
Do I Love Spaghetti?
On Friday, May 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  at All Saints’ Church,  enjoy a spaghetti dinner, fun fellowship, and learn how God is moving in the Ukraine Harvest Mission team through CVBS.  The meal is free, but donations are appreciated and will help support their mission.

Sewing Projects for Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry is recruiting individuals who know how to sew and/or can use a sewing machine to help complete various projects for our young ones, beginning with a collection of Jesus dolls.  We also hope to create or collect Biblical-era-type clothing for adults and children to add dimension to Children's teaching, Vacation Bible School and/or Children's Christmas performances. For more information, please email Lindsay Rixey or Tricia LaGrange at

Cookies and Prayer for Kairos
“I came for the cookies and I’m leaving with Jesus.”

Thank you for partnering with us in the Kairos #41 weekend at CVCU #13! We had 27 women complete the weekend and we welcomed two more sisters into the Kingdom! We also had one woman, who had previously accepted Christ, ask to be baptized. Your prayers were instrumental in helping many women break through the bonds of unforgiveness. The cookies were provided 132 dozen cookies! And, the women just love receiving the placemats made by the children of All Saints'.  Thank you again for "going" with us into CVCU#13. What a mighty God we serve!
Yours in Christ,   Anne, Debbie and Lynn
