Needlework Ministry Update

The Needlework Ministry will not be meeting on September 4th due to the Labor Day holiday. Mark your calendars for our next meeting on October 2, 2021. At our August meeting, we sorted through all the handmade items in our Needlework Ministry closet.

Once sorted we took the items to the areas, in All Saints' Church, where the handmade items were needed the most:

- baby hats, blankets, booties to Nursery/Children's Ministry.

- prayer shawls to Women's Ministry.

- quilts to Caring Ministry

- scarfs/hats to Food Pantry Ministry

- Threads of Blessing went back into the closet, waiting for the time Uganda ministry is back traveling.

We thank each and every one of you for your time, talents, and generous thread/yarn/fabric gifts that make this ministry such a joy to each other and all the new recipients of your handmade items. The closet is mostly empty and ready for more donations. Take a look at the photo collage below to see the sorted items.

Hope for Haiti- Collection Offering Continues this Sunday, August 29

Last week, a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, at a time when their government is in chaos after the assassination of the president. The need is urgent in Haiti as the areas ravaged by the earthquake are being hit by a tropical storm with 15 inches of rain. This only heightens the devastation and spread of disease

All Saints’ Church will be taking up an offering at both 8:15 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday, August 29. The funds will be directed to a Christian relief organization with workers on the ground in Haiti. Please bring an offering labeled “Haiti” this Sunday, so we can do our part to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We want to help provide hope to people who have lost so much.

You can also give online by clicking the button below, and make sure to note that your donation is for Haiti.

Treasured Volunteers, Thank You!

“You are Treasured! THANK YOU to the over 50 volunteers that brought VBS to All Saints' Church July 19-23! Each of you gave time and talent, and that brought the name and Gospel of Jesus to 65 children from our church and community. What a treasure to meet so many new friends too!

Families, thank you for bringing your children to VBS! We look forward to continuing to get to know the children, and pray for you and your families.”

Missionary Heroes Visit Children's Church!

As we transition into late summer, Children’s Church is featuring six weeks of Missionary Heroes! Missionary Heroes began last Sunday, August 1, with one of our very own missionaries from All Saints’ Church- Bethany Fair.

Each week the children will be led by some very special guests, as they highlight a hero for Jesus-a Missionary Hero of the week! Our first Missionary Hero was Bethany Fair, a teacher (going into her second year this fall) who experienced a short-term mission a few years ago to Eswatini, Africa (also known as Swaziland). Her send-off and support came from her college, Southern Nazarene University, along with All Saints' Church. Her parents are still part of All Saints’, Jon and Lisa Fair. Bethany is now teaching in Oklahoma, but did a video teaching for our children last Sunday. This was a great opportunity for our children to learn about a missionary hero, who came from our own church!

This week Children’s Church will continue learning about missionaries to Africa. Connie Odems will lead the children in learning about the first African American female missionary, Louise Celia Fleming! What an honor this will be to not only for the children to hear about Ms. Fleming, but also to hear from Connie herself, a gifted Bible teacher of many years at All Saints’ Church.
