Adult Discipleship
At All Saints' Church, Adult Discipleship is at the heart of our ministry. We believe in nurturing spiritual growth and deepening the faith of our parishioners through various avenues of discipleship. Our Adult Education program offers a wide range of opportunities for learning, discussion, and reflection. We hold regular Bible studies, small groups, and workshops that delve into scripture, theology, and practical applications of faith. We aim to equip and empower adults to fully embrace their call as followers of Christ in their daily lives.
We have a variety of Adult Education opportunities during the Sunday School Hour (9:45-10:45 a.m.) and throughout the week! Take a look at our current offerings. Have questions? Please contact Jim Morrison at adultdiscipleship@allsaintswoodbridge.org
Current Offerings on Sunday & During the Week
All Saints’ Church Adult Discipleship seeks to meet all curious seekers, newly baptized Christians, and seasoned Christians where they are to aid all people to become more and more like our Savior Jesus Christ. Our offerings are published in the many church communications. The offerings will change throughout the year, but our purpose remains steadfast. On Sunday mornings we conduct offerings in small groups to promote participation to the extent each individual is comfortable (and to enjoy coffee or tea – your preference!)
An Encouragement for Daily Bible Reading…
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3.16-17)
Daily reading of the Bible has so many benefits. We learn. We are cautioned. We are corrected and/or redirected. We are trained in what God says is right. We are equipped for all good works God has prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Reading Scripture and asking God for the wisdom to apply it in our everyday life ultimately helps us to become the disciples Jesus commands us to be in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-19).
Nowhere in the Bible does God say how much to read or hear each time we look into His Scripture. So whether you read (or listen to) a little or a lot of Scripture on a daily basis, please do make it a habit.
May you receive the greatest benefit of all: knowing God and drawing closer to Him.
Small Group Information
How Does A Small Group Work?
Small groups typically meet once a week in someone’s home for informal worship, Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Together the group agrees to meet for a specific period of time, perhaps 3 months or so. A group of six may come together with a vision to grow to 12 or more and multiply.
What is a small group?
A place to learn more about what the Bible says and how to apply it to your life
A place to receive support from others during the difficult times we all occasionally experience
A safe environment to share and ask questions
