Women’s Ministry

The women’s ministry exists to transform women’s lives through relationships with Jesus Christ and with one another:

  • to actively promote love among all women with the love of Christ through the power of the Spirit.

  • to provide meaningful opportunities for all women to grow individually and communally.

  • to serve God through support of the various ministries offer in All Saints’ Church for the expansion of His kingdom and to the glory of God the Father.

This year we are focusing on healing and building relationships by:

  • emphasizing His unmerited grace towards us in calling us each to be his daughter (reconciliation with God: 2 Corinthians 5:18–21; Colossians 1:21–23)

  • experiencing the inner healing that flows out of knowing we are each His beloved child (reconciliation with ourselves: Isaiah 61:1–2b; Psalm 34:18; Jeremiah 30); and

  • loving and learning to forgive each other as we are loved and forgiven (reconciliation with each other: Matthew 5:23–24; 1 Corinthians 1:10–11; Corinthians 13:4-7).

The Dorcas Ministry meets on the first Saturday of the month, October through June, in the middle school classroom (lower level in the right back corner of the Multi-Purpose Room) from 9:30-11 a.m. Bring crocheting, knitting, sewing, and other items to work on while we are gathered, as well as items you have completed. We will bless and collect completed items for distribution to the poor, the sick, and the needy.

Why “Dorcas Ministry” ? Dorcas was a disciple of Jesus and lived in the town of Joppa, a city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. She was a charitable person who made things for the needy. You can read about her in Acts 9:36-42, including Peter’s restoration of her life.
