This is a reprint of the letter Father Scott sent via email last Friday.

Dear All Saints’ Church family,

In just a few weeks, we will begin an exciting new chapter in the life of All Saints’. After nearly two years of prayer, conversation, and careful discernment, we are delighted to welcome the Rev. Patricio Rojas and his wife, Annie, as they begin a new Spanish-language ministry among us.

Patricio and Annie will arrive at Reagan National Airport on Thursday, August 6, and we are filled with gratitude for the remarkable ways God has worked to bring them to All Saints’. We truly believe the Lord has been at work in every step of this journey.

Fr. Patricio is a seasoned priest, pastor, and church planter who has faithfully served in Santiago, Chile. Annie, though a layperson, ministers alongside him as a true partner in their shared calling. Together, they are especially gifted in outreach and have served within the Anglican Church of Chile, one of our GAFCON sister provinces and a province in full communion with the ACNA.

There is also a meaningful connection between our churches. Their bishop in Chile, the Rt. Rev. Juan Esteban Saravia Cortés, currently Bishop of Santiago, previously served as the Spanish-language minister at Christ Church Vienna, our sister church in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, before returning to Chile and being elected bishop.

Patricio and Annie also look forward to being closer to family. Their son lives in Santiago, while their daughter, her husband, and their two young children live in Westminster, Maryland.

As they settle into a new country and begin this new season of ministry, I invite you to join me in praying for them. May we warmly welcome them into the All Saints’ family, encourage them, and embrace the gifts God has given them for the work He has called them to do among us.

I am excited to see what God has in store for All Saints’ through this new ministry, and I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
