The Diocesan and Provincial policies (the entire ACNA) have updated child protection policies to now include all vulnerable adults, and more detailed guidelines for all ministries. The former Protecting God’s Children training now includes all the new updates and broader training to include adults, and is now called Safeguarding Training.

As part of diocesan requirements, all VBS volunteers are required to take an in-person Safeguarding Training. Ministry Leaders and volunteers serving adults are now also required to take the new in-person training and undergo background checks, to include prayer ministries, lay eucharistic ministry, and congregational care.

The next Training offered is Monday, June 8, 6:30-9:30 pm. Nursery and childcare for children third grade and younger will be made available upon request at least one week prior to the class.
