A Note from the Rector: "Re-Gathering...Together"

A Note from the Rector: "Re-Gathering...Together"

“All of us must together exercise humility and have listening hearts, understanding that each person and family is doing the best we can to make responsible decisions. For some, this means worshiping from home for the foreseeable future. To this end, we plan to permanently livestream Sunday services. For others, participating in public worship in person as soon as possible is a priority.”

Vacation Bible School - Help us stay on track!

Calling all ages to help from home! As we make plans to climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway VBS and since we cannot gather at the church for decorating parties, we want to extend an invitation for families and individuals to use your time at home for a great ministry project. We have 12 projects that can be done at home to begin preparing for this big adventure. Some are biggies and others could be completed in a fun afternoon; our goal is to have these completed by July 15.

Food Pantry

If you hear of anyone who is in need, please assure them that the food pantry is open, although by appointment only. Ask the individual to call the church at 703-670-0093 and LEAVE A MESSAGE. Someone will get back to them as soon as possible and make arrangements to either meet them at church or get food to them some other way.

AND FOR THOSE OF US BLESSED WITH ENOUGH FOOD…

With more families home, the demand for lunch supplies is increasing. Please call the church to arrange a time to drop off your donation.

Please consider easy-to-open, easy-to-eat foods, such as tuna in a pouch, flip-top ravioli, Compleat® meals, Ensure®, etc.

There are some items that become depleted more rapidly than others, specifically the prepared foods and items that can be served quickly, such as: single-serving Tuna packs (we have plenty of cans for now, thank you); cereal, Ramen noodles, individually packaged snacks, canned ravioli, pasta and sauce, mac&cheese, peanut butter & jelly, individual fruit cups, and canned veggies.

NEW—We are now accepting hamburger and chicken for the Food pantry! We have a small freezer that we've been given permission to use at the church to keep it in! We'd love to offer hamburger, chicken and tuna helper to go along with this new addition! Thank you for your generous donations!

Our Pantry’s greatest needs are:

  • Individual snacks (peanut butter crackers, cookies, granola bars, popcorn, fruit snacks, etc.)

  • Canned ravioli with pop-tops

  • Ramen/Cup of Noodle/Maruchan chicken or beef flavored soups

  • Sides - Instant mashed potatoes or rice
