Another Opportunity to Join Women's Bible Study

It’s not too late to join a Women’s Bible Study!

Believing God is a video and discussion study offered at 2 different times on Thursdays. It examines the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others as examples of persons who believed God. In this 10-week Beth Moore Bible Study, participants will explore this vital topic through 5 statements of Faith: God is who He says He is; God will do what He said He will do; I am who God says I am; I can do all things through Christ; and God’s word is alive & active in me. Workbooks are $18 each.

The Daytime option meets via Zoom from 10 a.m. until noon beginning October 14th .

Contact Deacon Julie or Connie Odems for more information and the Zoom link. Evening meets in person from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the church. Contact Desiree Barker at dbarker@allsaintswoodbridge.org or Katherine Monroe. Walk-ins welcome but it would be helpful if we know you are planning to come.

There is also a new Bible Study meeting Tuesday mornings starting October 5.

Do you feel like a lost sheep or a beloved lamb? Do you know the Good Shepherd who loves you and leads you beside still waters, or do you long for green pastures and quiet rest? Psalm 23 gives us confidence in life, comfort in death, and reminds us that we really can trust Jesus in every season of our lives. Come with us to trade self-reliance for the truth that God will always care for you; and experience the depths of God’s compassion. Join us October 5—November 16 in All Saints multipurpose room each Tuesday from 10 a.m.—noon. All women are welcome, and we’ve saved a place for you. Contact Chloellen@comcast.net for more information.

Ministry Update- Story Time at the Park

What's going on at Cloverdale Park on Thursday mornings? Story Time Park Day!

Each week, the children’s ministry of All Saints’ Church hosts a Story Time morning at the park where anyone is welcome. We have met some of our new attending Sunday morning, MOPS, and VBS families at the park! We are also providing early learning and reading skills, a nutritious snack, conversation, and community with the heart of Jesus.... in the midst of Dale City. This ministry also occasionally provides rides for our Dale City mothers and children who do not have a car, as well as giving away Jesus Storybook Bibles to those that share they do not have a Bible. New mothers are given baby blankets from our Needlework Ministry.

Story Time Park Day invites the church to come out to Cloverdale Park on Thursdays at 10am! There are so many ways All Saints’ Church members can help support and be a part of this important community ministry. Talk with new friends from the Dale City Community, read a story or pass out/provide snacks to the children, intercede in prayer for young families in the heart of Dale City. Like to read classic children's stories? Or, if you are interested in donating brand new Jesus Storybook Bibles, snacks/mini juice boxes, rides, or taking a turn to read to children, contact Tara.

Needlework Ministry Update

The Needlework Ministry will not be meeting on September 4th due to the Labor Day holiday. Mark your calendars for our next meeting on October 2, 2021. At our August meeting, we sorted through all the handmade items in our Needlework Ministry closet.

Once sorted we took the items to the areas, in All Saints' Church, where the handmade items were needed the most:

- baby hats, blankets, booties to Nursery/Children's Ministry.

- prayer shawls to Women's Ministry.

- quilts to Caring Ministry

- scarfs/hats to Food Pantry Ministry

- Threads of Blessing went back into the closet, waiting for the time Uganda ministry is back traveling.

We thank each and every one of you for your time, talents, and generous thread/yarn/fabric gifts that make this ministry such a joy to each other and all the new recipients of your handmade items. The closet is mostly empty and ready for more donations. Take a look at the photo collage below to see the sorted items.

Hope for Haiti- Collection Offering Continues this Sunday, August 29

Last week, a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, at a time when their government is in chaos after the assassination of the president. The need is urgent in Haiti as the areas ravaged by the earthquake are being hit by a tropical storm with 15 inches of rain. This only heightens the devastation and spread of disease

All Saints’ Church will be taking up an offering at both 8:15 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday, August 29. The funds will be directed to a Christian relief organization with workers on the ground in Haiti. Please bring an offering labeled “Haiti” this Sunday, so we can do our part to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We want to help provide hope to people who have lost so much.

You can also give online by clicking the button below, and make sure to note that your donation is for Haiti.
