Shine Your Light Children’s Celebration!

This Sunday, Children's Sunday School Shine Your Light Celebration!

We are called to shine God’s light onto others in the world, but that light does not come from our own power or ability. To celebrate this we will have a "Shine Your Light" mini-carnival party after our Bible Lesson at 9:45 a.m. Sunday School! We show the light of Christ by first being filled with it ourselves. Because of Christ’s love, life, and death, we have the opportunity to serve Him by loving and serving one another in a mini-carnival with "Shine Your Light" crafts, games, and of course, candy for prizes. Start your kids October 31 with the light of Christ at church!

Greening of the Church- You're Invited!

This Sunday, November 28, after the 10 a.m. service childcare and nursery will be available and will include lunch (hot dog, chips, fruit) for all! Young children will enjoy lunch in the children's wing, and Advent craft activities while the parents hang the greens. We need the energy and strength of teens, so bring them too! So we have enough lunches prepared, please RSVP by clicking below.

Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, brings joy and hope to needy children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the good news of God’s love! Since 1993, more than 100 million shoe box gifts have been delivered to children in more than 130 countries and All Saints’ Church has sent thousands of them!

Shoeboxes are available in the Atrium or the church office, with instructions for packing. Pick up your box on Sunday or Mondays-Thursdays before 4:00 p.m. We are blessed to have the All Saints’ Church Youth, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), and AHG (American Heritage Girls) contributing to this outreach event as well!

All Saints’ OCC Collection Date is Sunday, November 14th or Monday-Thursday by 4:00 p.m. to the church office. Let's come together to gift a child not only with quality items that they may not normally have access to, but also with the gospel message of Jesus Christ!

Upcoming Parish Work Day October 16

Join us Saturday, October 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the parish workday. We need many hands to accomplish the fall outdoor maintenance tasks.

Including:

  • Parking lot clean-up including drains and grassy cracks.

  • Islands clean-up. We will also ask for volunteers to "adopt an island" in the parking lot agreeing to take care of that island as their personal contribution to good stewardship of the church grounds.

  • Weeding the base and pruning the trees along Gideon Drive. (Bring your gloves, loppers, and pruners)

  • Prayer trail clean-up.

  • Aerate and seed grass around the entrances and Prayer Room.

Another Opportunity to Join Women's Bible Study

It’s not too late to join a Women’s Bible Study!

Believing God is a video and discussion study offered at 2 different times on Thursdays. It examines the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others as examples of persons who believed God. In this 10-week Beth Moore Bible Study, participants will explore this vital topic through 5 statements of Faith: God is who He says He is; God will do what He said He will do; I am who God says I am; I can do all things through Christ; and God’s word is alive & active in me. Workbooks are $18 each.

The Daytime option meets via Zoom from 10 a.m. until noon beginning October 14th .

Contact Deacon Julie or Connie Odems for more information and the Zoom link. Evening meets in person from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the church. Contact Desiree Barker at dbarker@allsaintswoodbridge.org or Katherine Monroe. Walk-ins welcome but it would be helpful if we know you are planning to come.

There is also a new Bible Study meeting Tuesday mornings starting October 5.

Do you feel like a lost sheep or a beloved lamb? Do you know the Good Shepherd who loves you and leads you beside still waters, or do you long for green pastures and quiet rest? Psalm 23 gives us confidence in life, comfort in death, and reminds us that we really can trust Jesus in every season of our lives. Come with us to trade self-reliance for the truth that God will always care for you; and experience the depths of God’s compassion. Join us October 5—November 16 in All Saints multipurpose room each Tuesday from 10 a.m.—noon. All women are welcome, and we’ve saved a place for you. Contact Chloellen@comcast.net for more information.
