A Christmas Thank You!

Thank you to everyone that served during Advent in the Living Nativity and in the Family Christmas Eve service prep. It truly was a season of preparation, but with much rejoicing! Over a month's time of practicing songs, rehearsing, costuming, staging, constructing, and more! It all came to be a celebration of a newborn King and a Savior to the world right here in Dale City. Thank you to everyone that contributed in so many ways!

January Food Giveaway!

“You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.”  Deuteronomy 15:11

Our next parking lot food giveaway is Saturday, January 8. This is another exciting opportunity to bless our community by following the commands of Jesus to help those in need! Anyone in our community who is in need of food is invited to come that day to fill up bags of groceries free of charge.

There are countless ways that you and your family can be involved. From setting up behind the scenes to passing out flyers in the communities that need to hear about the event to serving during the event itself, it will truly take all of us coming together to make this happen. If you are looking for a place for you and/or your family to serve, there are absolutely opportunities for you! Please sign-up here or contact Tammy Bailey  if you have any questions.

A Note of Thanks

With deep appreciation to the All Saint's community for all your prayers, cards, demonstration of support and comfort after the sudden passing of my husband, Darwin Koester, on December 1, 2021. With special thanks and appreciation to the Rev. Scott Bailey and the Rev. New Small Group Bible Study!

What Does it Mean to be Chosen? All Saints’ Church has a new daytime Bible Study based on the TV series, The Chosen. If you have watched The Chosen, you know how special it is to be walking with Jesus and the disciples through the streets and fields of the Holy Land. If you haven’t seen the series, watch it with us! It’s great! Each week we will watch the show and then discuss the homework. This 10-weeks study will meet at church from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning on Tuesday, Jan 18, 2021. Contact Sharon McKannon at 703-629-0732 to register and for the link to order the book.

A Note From the Bookkeeper

As the End of the Year Approaches There are several things to keep in mind.

Firstly, all check requests (for reimbursement, payment of invoices, etc.) must be submitted to the church office as soon as possible but no later than Monday, January 3. Please help us to capture all 2021 expenses in the 2021 financial statements.

Secondly, it is important to have any 2021 contributions to All Saints’ turned into the church before the year end if they are to be posted to the 2021 end of the year contribution statements. Payments received after the end of the year will appear on your 2022 contributions statements.

Thirdly, thank you to all those who have completed their pledge cards indicating their commitment to God through their offerings for 2022. To those who have not yet made a pledge concerning your giving for the coming year, please do so as soon as possible. The Vestry is working on the budget for 2022, and all pledges are extraordinarily important in determining how we all as saints together will move forward in our mission to do God’s work. You may pledge online via the church website or by calling the church office if you need to request a pledge card. Thank you!

If you have questions, please email our bookkeeper, Lynne Cheney.
