As Father Scott announced this past Sunday, All Saints’ Church has called the Rev. Maryanna Stumbaugh to be our new Associate Rector!
Maryanna has served as Associate Minister at Christ Our Peace Anglican Church in Spokane, Washington for the last nine years and has 11 years of experience in pastoral care and spiritual leadership.
She is a Certified Spiritual Director and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Biola University and a Master of Arts from Portland Seminary. She was ordained a transitional deacon in 2022 and will be ordained a priest on November 2.
“Maryanna has giftings and skills that balance my giftings and skills. She has strengths in other areas, and she is clearly a team player,” noted Father Scott. “She also brings her abilities as a spiritual director and experience on a church staff. I look forward to serving together with her.”
“What was especially appealing to me about All Saints’ is the diverse community and the heart for outreach and for mission,” Maryanna explained. “Not being just an insular community, but that things like service and outreach and turning outwards are part of the DNA of the church and the culture.”
Maryanna and husband Zack have three children: Eleanor, 8; Gigi, 5; and Harrison, 4. Zack is a Rebar Detailer and Project Manager for a construction company in California; he’ll continue in that work as an independent contractor after their move.
“We really loved everyone we met [at All Saints’],” she said, “and I look forward to ministering alongside Father Scott and the staff and getting to know the community.”
The Stumbaugh family will be moving to Woodbridge after Thanksgiving. Please keep them in prayer! Pray for the process of selling their house, for their move, and for their children during this transition.
